Meet the Associates | Pediatric Dentistry and Othodontics

Weideman Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics was established in 1974 by Michael D. Weideman, DDS (Dr. Mike), the first trained Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry in the Sacramento area, and is now under the direction of his daughter, Cynthia L. Weideman, DDS (Dr. Cindy) and his former patient Jeffrey V. Sue, DDS (Dr. Jeff). Dr. Cindy and Dr. Jeff, along with our associates Darcy Owen, DDS (Dr. Darcy) and Jennifer McCarthy, DDS (Dr. Jenny) are all Board Certified Specialists in Pediatric Dentistry and Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. We follow the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association guidelines of practicing comprehensive dentistry for children and young adults.

Our doctors and staff work together as "family" team members with one goal in mind – to make every child's dental experience positive and enjoyable. Child psychology is a common second degree in addition to their Doctor of Dental Surgery and Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry or Specialist in Orthodontics degrees. Understanding the child patient is critical to successfully treating their dental conditions as well as making their office experience enjoyable and rewarding. We're parents ourselves and we're specialists in helping kids smile.
